Made by myself from naturally expired Elytra beetles, this awesome one-of-a-kind bracelet is all in dark gunmetal. The wings are quite a rare form of the Elytra, having an unusual ruby sheen rather than the common blue.
Hello me ol' matey! These are natural freaks of nature! Red Elytras are pretty much one in a couple of hundred specimens, and all of these were hand picked from the most vivid of those freaks. Cool, eh? I leave them untouched, since nature made the beetle wings tough as nails to protect the little bugs.
Hello there! The findings are made of gunmetal iron, very strong, and the chain itself is gunmetal-copper, also very strong. {8>B All the links are carefully attached so there are no gaps and are perfectly closed. The shells are quite tough, as they are in effect armour plating for the beetle. {8>3
Thank you pickle! I'll be making the necklace soon, I've got enough wings left over for either a bracelet or necklace...we'll see if this one sells first! I've ordered the super-secret insect giants, I'm really excited about handling them and crafting something from them! {X>3 *squeeee* I found making these items so relaxing. {8>3 I still can't believe the prices people are charging for similar items on etsy though, I mean, £75 for a necklace? And it's COSTUME too?! {X>D
I cannot wait to see the necklaces! Even though some people out there may be doing what you planned to, but I think you will easily come up with something much more epic and original! I am glad you are enjoying making these, they seem so coo lto work with.! I think 75 is way too overpriced for such a piece, I think yours will sell much faster though as you get big bang for your money out your pieces! 8D
Thanks darling! The seventy-five quid one is a common green type as well, I'll be making green versions of this necklace to sell at about fifteen quid each. Bargain! {8>B
